Walker's Way

How are you Walking in your life?

A compelling true story of love, courage and humility. Walker Carter inspired others to rise to their best through sports and teachings of true love based on his faith in God. Walker was determined to walk in the footsteps of Jesus to “…go on walking just as that one walked.” (1John 2:6) He was a stellar athlete that defied all odds against racism as an underprivileged boy who became a beloved man that touched the hearts of so many even after his death.

Walker’s Way is a powerful book that demonstrates how each of us as imperfect humans can love each other regardless of race, religious beliefs or status in life. Walker utilized this love and respect for others as a platform to become an outstanding athlete, servant of God, husband, father, brother and friend

Before his death Walker, excelled as a beloved First Class Lineman at PECO Energy by corporate leaders as well as fellow employees. He was also able to win national championships at Widener University in track and football as a wide receiver. Walker served as the first black coach in football and track at Widener because he never viewed himself as a black man but a man. Walker was inducted into Widener University’s Athletic Hall of Fame for Football and Track and Field.

Walker also served as a Master Scuba Diver before his death as well. He tried to follow in Jesus Christ’s footsteps, who imitated his father Jehovah God. Walker became a tremendous team player who demonstrated spiritual leadership, respect and admiration for others.

Eagles Can Win the Super Bowl based on the book “Walker’s Way”.

The powerful book “Walker’s Way” that is getting such numerous responses as, “l can’t put it down once l started reading it…” is sweeping readers off their feet. It is 100 pages of the main character Walker Carter’s love of his God Jehovah and a love of football as a player and coach. Walker’s life is also related to his love of the Philadelphia Eagles’ football team. He loved watching the Eagles. Before his death in June 2017 Walker expressed how the Eagles had a good opportunity to go to the Super Bowl because of their defense. I didn’t know what he was really talking about but l remember Walker said that. Yes. February 2018 the Eagles did go to the Super Bowl and won.

In December 2022 our family’s book “Walker’s Way” which is about Walker’s life as a servant of Jehovah God as he tried to walk in the footsteps of God’s son Jesus Christ. Walker’s love for the game of football as a player and coach is out and once again the Eagles are in the Super Bowl. Now tell me whatever Almighty God wants to use as a reminder as how powerful he is, Jehovah can cause it to become. I believe and live by that. Don’t you find that strange and amazing? Go Eagles!
